MARITIMES SCANNING SITE

This page is mainly for my own use in calculating bearings and distances between my location and various stations I hear or wish to hear.   It helps me figure which way to point the beam, or to see how far away something I have heard is.

Rather than even try to provide any methods, I am simply linking to a few sites you can visit, enter coordinates and get the results.

http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/gccalc.shtml?    I like this one as it allows you to use either decimals of degrees or minutes and seconds.

http://www.fcc.gov/mb/audio/bickel/distance.html  (this one, from the FCC, also has a search function that allows you to look for broadcast stations by callsign and find out how far away they are)

http://www.dxzone.com/catalog/Operating_Aids/Distance___Bearing/   (this has several ham-oriented related items)
