The are a few of the plates inherited from my father that I have already sold, so they now reside with other collectors!
Some of these were sold soon after I personally began collecting in around 2020.  In many cases I  now regret selling or trading at the price I did,
or regret selling at all.    This page can be considered an historical page.  Not shown here are some very low number plates from Yukon and pre-bear NWT,
and a nice San Marino.

Jurisdiction Plate and/or comments
State of Vatican City

SOLD
This is a very rare Vatican City state-owned vehicle plate from approximately 1965.  Despite some flaking and touch-up it IS significantly valuable. I have heard Vatican City being referred to as the Holy Grail of plate collecting, no pun intended!

No longer in my collection. I sold this plate
in 2022,and after it changing hands at least twice, I think it is now in a collection in Montreal
Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands

SOLD

This is a handmade plate from Yap that my father obtained in the late 60's or early 70's.   Yap was under US control in a United Nations Mandate until this area of the Pacific became independent as the nation of Micronesia.

  SOLD

This plate is from the former RCAF station at Sea Island.
This was a wartime training base that continued in service
until 1964. when the rescue unit it stilll hosted was moved
to Comox.   By that time the wartime base had changed into a lodger
unit at Vancouver Internationall Airport.

The plate has gone to be displayed beside other Sea Island plates
in a BC collection.  I had forgotten to take a photo ahead of
time so here is that collector's thumb along with the plate.
